Vicki the recruiter

This was one of several emails that kept coming through to me despite my repeated requests not to get in touch.

If someone is sought with such urgency, things can't be good. The bold text in the email illustrated a sufficient level of urgency to get me to drop what I was doing and respond.

Hello Vicki,

Thank you kindly for your email, but I must unfortunately decline your offer for a job at present.

I have decided to leave the world of IT and become a mortician.

I feel that the greed in the industry overwhelmed me, and that working during the day did not please me as much as night duties.

I have decided to return to Ireland and follow in my father's footsteps and work in the morgue at night.

This will please me more. I prefer working at night. I hope that the new year brings you many new prospects and much good fortune for the future.

Thank you very much and a happy new year.

Yours in silence,

The Rotten Angel
